Leading International Bank requires a Financial Controller (FC) to deliver a robust control function across one of its key business units. This will include planning and forecasting, flash reporting, monthly MI and compliance with the bank’s governance and control requirements.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Delivery and maintenance of a robust control process to ensure compliance with the Group’s control and governance requirements

• To operate as the key Finance support for Senior Function Heads

• Leadership and management of the monthly Flash process

• To own, manage and consolidate the annual MTP (Medium Term Plan)

• Ownership and development of monthly MI to support Function Heads, CFO and BP&A

• Management of IFRS allocation process

• Manage the delivery of the SOX processes (quarterly)

• Providing technical and accounting support to Function Heads

• Plan, organize and direct the daily activities of 2 direct reports

Essential Experience

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with a minimum of 2 years in industry. Financial Services Industry Preferred

• Previous experience of working in a Financial Control environment

• Strong experience in team management and a proven track record of performance and delivery

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to communicate financial analysis to non-financial people

• Experience of working with different seniority of stakeholders

• Good planning and organisation skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel user

Preferred Experience

• Experienced of working in a change and challenging environments

• Strong understanding of SAP would be advantageous

• Good Microsoft PowerPoint skills
