Our client is an internationally operating trading house. For the company's seat in Geneva we are looking for a Senior Energy Risk Analyst with sound experience within commodity/ energy risk.
You can expect an excellent package (relocation included) and very good career opportunities. This position is embedded in the Energy division as well as being part of the Risk Group. The senior risk analyst will evaluate the risk of potential loss in the trading book due to adverse market moves. The relevant traded products are power, gas and oil on a global basis. The candidate will report results to traders, Business Unit leaders, Senior Management, and operations.
Candidate Profile:
At least 5 years of Risk management experience in commodity market and good knowledge of the trading business (trader or support activity)
Experience in or using statistical analysis (Matlab, Matematica)
Very good Excel capability
Excellent English (written and spoken)
High level of assertiveness as you will have to deal with traders and their conception of risk
Willingness to be a contact person for juniors
