Controller – Broker Dealer (New York City, NY)

Brokerage house and member of NYSE and FINRA which provides electronic trading access on an agency basis to US equities and futures markets for professional traders, hedge funds and institutions has an immediate opening for the Controller of this broker dealer. This is a hands-on position that will be involved in the daily operational, financial and regulatory accounting areas of the firm.

Specific qualifications desired:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance,

• knowledge of broker dealer operations and regulatory accounting,

• knowledge of GAAP

• strong Excel skills

• the ability to work individually in a detail-oriented and proactive fashion,

• 8 - 10 years experience are required. Big 4 or large national firm experience and a CPA are preferred, but not required.

• Series 27 registration.
