The Real Estate team manages private real estate debt and equity in the U.S., Europe, Australia and Asia. Investments span a wide range of strategies, including core, value-add and opportunistic equity and high-yield debt, for a premier list of institutional and private investors. As of March 31, 2008, BlackRock managed approximately US$31.4 billion in such assets.

The Database Reporting Analyst is responsible for maintaining the Research and Risk Analytics data used to support the firm in its investment strategies, acquisitions, portfolio, property management, and property sales programs. A key function of this role is generating analytical reports from data stored in the various databases (SQL, ACCESS). Additional responsibilities include data loading and normalization, and assisting in building Excel models and macros used to create the various Research and Risk Analytics tools.

The Ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of relevant experience. Must have a BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics or related field. Skilled at creative problem solving and deductive reasoning. Must possess exceptional computer and math skills, including SQL database, spreadsheet, and report writing, also a knowledge of Visual Basic for Applications macro language is a plus. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication as well as analytical skills.

Responsibilities

· Create analytical reports

· Work with team to manage and maintain various Databases

· Responsible for data manipulation, update, organization, maintenance, and information gathering

· Develop Excel macros, functions and programs to standardize core projects and assist team.

· Generate ad hoc reports from the data warehouse as needed.

Skills and Qualifications

· Excellent creative, analytical, math and computer skills.

· Programming skills (T-SQL, VBA/Visual Basic, Access, Excel, ETL, report writing, business intelligence/data mining tools).

· Outstanding academic achievement and work experience.

· Possesses excellent communication skills.

· Works well as part of a team.

· High attention to detail.
