The work of our Global Technology Operations (GTO) team is central to our ability to meet technology and transaction processing challenges. Asset Management GTO is one of the divisions of the larger GTO organisation. As such, it plays a critical role in building outstanding business performance and client service.

We require a seasoned professional to oversee our front office Investment Management Operations Support function. This includes partnering with Portfolio Managers to establish investment requirements, supporting process flow design, co-ordinating support services, identifying areas for improvement, and maintaining metrics. You will also provide guidance to our regional operations and IT development teams, create business cases for major initiatives, and lead key projects. Other responsibilities include providing business process analysis advice, and implementing service models for all asset types, including derivatives, structured products, and other complex investment vehicles. Finally, you will represent regional GTO-Asset Management in management forums, and co-ordinate with regional and global teams regarding cross-location services and products.

To succeed, you must have 15+ years’ of asset management operations or administration experience, ideally as a senior Operations Manager in a top-tier, multinational asset management firm. Also essential are a record of increasing management responsibilities, expertise in the operational support of all security types, and demonstrated experience with derivatives and other complex assets.

You know how to define requirements and processes, and you function well within matrix organisations, under considerable stress, and to tight timeframes. A thorough knowledge of relevant technology concepts and system platforms, and excellent communication and relationship-building skills with all levels of management will ensure you are a strong contender for this pivotal position.
