The Private Equity function is one of three investing teams within Hirtle, Callaghan and Co. This team makes global investments in private limited partnerships in venture capital, buyout funds, debt funds and real estate funds every year on behalf of our clients. In addition to committing capital to a diverse set of limited partnerships each year, the team is responsible for the accounting and administration of these investments, monitoring these investments for performance and risk management, supporting the client development teams and reporting the results to clients. POSITION SUMMARY: The Private Equity Director will have significant responsibility in managing and coordinating the private equity initiatives and responsibilities within the firm. This role will have primary responsibility in supporting and leading the marketing, and client sales and service responsibilities as they relate to Private Equity. Additionally, the position will integrate with the Private Equity Portfolio Director in supporting the staff within the West Conshohocken office. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Represent Private Equity activities and investments within the firm. Specifically as Private Equity relates to clients, define and explain the private equity strategy and overall firm investment objectives. As appropriate, develop and maintain private equity clients. Provide leadership and support within Private Equity function. Assist Private Equity Portfolio Director in identifying industry sectors and specific funds in which investments could me made. Have familiarity with Private Equity processes to support as needed with negotiating and closing transactions, due diligence and financial analysis.
